![]() ![]() not a bad thing, but it could have been a lot better and more unique. gameplay is pretty much the same, and thats ok unless devs wanted to work more in level and battle design, which they didnt. ![]() its also not "the main thing" that makes this game different: what makes this game different is mostly the dark fantasy-medieval context. Originally posted by Meanwhile:If you don't like the main thing that sets this game apart, too bad for you. Even though the in-game tutorial only says "Any wound they deal to the Shade will transfer to me" and never mentioned that damage from other sources will be transferred too. ![]() The absurdity of a ranged hero tries to pull away from an enemy and then promptly shoot themselves to death (or lance themselves to death) is hilarious though, gotta admit that. Heck, if the logic is consistent, you shouldn't even be able to use teleport/switch abilities to escape it, because they "captured part of your soul". So in addition to dash, you can use push/pull abilities (and if I'm not mistaken, abilities that move yourself also works) to safely move someone out of the way.but why? The in-game justification doesn't address this at all. And once the shade is there, *any* damage is reflected on the real you. You only leave a shade when 1) an active enemy target you, regardless of melee/range and 2) you use the "move" action. It's a mechanism that totally gimps the "hit&run" archetype, and even worse, it has no consistency in it: ![]()
